London Stadium

London Aquatics Centre

For the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the London Aquatics Centre provided a breath-taking backdrop to countless memorable moments such as Tom Daley's first Olympic diving medal and Ellie Simmonds’ winning swims. Now everyone can feel the thrill of swimming under that familiar wave-like roof and enjoy some of the best community swimming facilities in the country for the same price as local leisure centre swimming pools.

Lee Valley VeloPark

Welcome to Lee Valley VeloPark, where you can experience cycling like never before! Activity is centred around the iconic 6,000-seat velodrome, where Sir Chris Hoy and Dame Sarah Storey, along with their Team GB and Paralympics GB teammates, wowed the crowds at the London 2012 Games. But the action doesn’t stop at track cycling – Lee Valley VeloPark is the world’s first venue offering track cycling, road racing, BMX and mountain biking all in one place. Don’t worry if you don’t have a bike; they offer rentals so you can jump right in and enjoy the thrill of cycling.

Copper Box Arena

Nicknamed the 'box that rocks' and host of the handball, modern pentathlon fencing and goalball during the 2012 Games, the Copper Box Arena has reinvented itself to become one of London’s most flexible indoor venues. With high-quality professional sports teams operating year round, alongside specialist events like e-sports and music concerts - Plus, access to a fitness hub including gym, personal training and fitness classes - there is so much going on!

A cultural powerhouse

As well being part of the Olympic legacy, we’re also opposite East Bank, the Culture Quarter. It’s a collaboration between some of the world’s top universities and arts and culture institutions. It will attract another 1.5 million visitors to the park every year and is set to create more than 2,500 jobs.

There’ll be loads happening at East Bank – UCL’s new campus will be here as well as Stratford Waterfront, which will be home to some of the biggest names in culture, education and innovation including: the BBC, Sadler’s Wells, UAL’s London College of Fashion and the V&A Museum.

What’s going on?

With the Copper Box Arena, London Stadium and many other venues on the doorstep, an a diverse mix of pop-up spaces and creative places, there’s a busy events calendar that runs all-year round throughout the park and surrounding area.

There’s also loads of places to eat and drink! Grab breakfast at Canalside in Here East, sample worlds food in Westfield or venture into Hackney Wick where you’ll find any cuisine you fancy around here.

Here East

Here East is just around the corner. The innovation and technology campus sees over 4,500 people stride its creative corridors every day and is home to some big names including BT Sport, Plexal, Staffordshire University London, UCL, Loughborough University London, but also Studio Wayne McGregor and creative studio spaces at The Trampery on the Gantry. Another hidden treasure is Canalside, one of the locals’ favourite spots for food and drinks, from breakfast to the late hours of the evening.

Hackney Bridge

Located on one of East Wick and Sweetwater’s later development sites is Make Shift’s new project, Hackney Bridge. This brand new, canalside public destination will feature workspaces and studios, public facilities, events, markets, restaurants and bars.

Hackney Wick & Fish Island

One of the most recognisable creative destinations in the world is right on the doorstep. The Creative Enterprise Zone is part of an £11million London-wide initiative to provide affordable workspaces and training opportunities.
